Exploring Our State Parks!

Spring is the perfect time to explore all the wonderful State Parks Texas has to offer.  This month we headed west of Texas to Stephen F. Austin State Park.  It’s only a short drive from downtown but is a world away from the city.  Best known for its bike trails, SFA SP is a beautifully wooded preserve located on the Brazos River.  It’s the perfect atmosphere for your everyday backpacker or weekend warrior.  We hit all the trails in under 3 hours while stopping to enjoy the scenery at the many great overlooks & getting to know each other at rest points.  Next month is our camping trip to Huntsville State Park where we will have a weekend full of activities including hiking, horseback riding, fishing campfires and more! Events And Adventures Houston
